This morning (PST), markets appear to be rattled by Banking systems worldwide as news of Credit Suisse reporting an "issue" in their financial reporting system came out and then one of their backers stated "no more financial support" to the bank going forward. This seems to have had substantial impact on European banking system. Financial failures can reveal systemic issues if the issues aren't isolated so it makes sense that investors would remain skeptical about banking sector in general. While US banking system issues seemed under control after the Feds moved to contain the crisis, overall confidence in banking system remains low.
