CPI data released this morning showed an uptick in December inflation that seemed more than estimated. Core CPI number was inline with estimates. Today's number might suggest that inflation continues to be obstinate and might have dampened the hopes of investors betting on aggressive rate cuts. Oil prices rose today as well. All three major US indices are in the red this morning (PST).
