Economic news coming out today was good. US GDP grew more than expected in Q4. This has increased the confidence in Feds' ability to achieve a "soft landing" in the fight against inflation. Weekly jobless claims also appeared to have gotten better. Overall, it painted a good picture and that lifted all three major US indices to a green finish.
