Commerce Department's PCE index for December showed that data was mostly inline or slightly better than estimates. Core PCE seems to have ticked up only slightly compared to November. Consumer expenditure was better than estimates. It looks like the soft landing narrative is becoming more credible. All three major US indices are in the green this morning (PST).
