Central banks around the world worked to restore the confidence in banking systems, access to US dollars and Swiss regulators carved out a deal for Credit Suisse takeover by another Swiss banking giant UBS. Rest of the focus is perhaps on FOMC rate hike decision that is on Wednesday. I think the popular opinion is that it will be 0 or 0.25% (remains to be seen). Indices appear to be mixed this morning in that Dow and S&P500 seem to be in the green and Nasdaq seems to be in the red (morning PST).
