Bureau of Labor Statistics released the CPI data this morning that showed that inflation cooled substantially in June. Prices rose 3% that seems one of the lowest levels in recent times. Core CPI (excluding food and energy) rose less that estimates. This is good news for economy and the Feds' work on taming inflation. It will be interesting to see the FOMC rate hike decision and commentary around it later this month. All three major US indices are in the green this morning (PST).
