This morning's economic news from July appears to reaffirm a relatively neat picture of the economy. Housing new starts and permits rose. Industrial production also rose and the factory output was above estimates. These days, with economy in good shape, focus invariably comes to inflation control so investors are perhaps awaiting meeting minutes of the FOMC meeting due later today. DJIA is close to flat line albeit in slight green while S&P500 and Nasdaq composite are in the red this morning (PST).
