Red finish for the major US indices today. Perhaps some profit-taking was at play after missed estimates by TGT. There were some good news about the economy in that consumer spending seemed to have been good in July perhaps because they used the "savings" due to lower gas prices for shopping other items. FOMC meeting minutes also appeared to be benign with respect to future rate hikes as they seem to be favoring slowing rate hikes in the next meeting.
