September seems to have lived up to its reputation about stock market performance. All major indices finished in deep red today. I think June lows were broken amid the rising stagflation fears that were accompanied by international currency fluctuations. Federal Reserve Chairman's comment stating a "new normal" related to high inflation and low growth might be resetting some expectations. With no catalyst in sight yet (earnings season appears so far right now), it is hard to expect this bear market to end anytime soon.
